The project consisted of a new five-story research tower connected to Parran Hall at the corner of Fifth Avenue and DeSoto Street in Oakland, PA. The facility is used as a research laboratory hub for the Graduate School of Public Health. Work included architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades to the original structure to meet current building code and to accommodate and support advanced research activities for additional faculty and staff.
The laboratory pavilion built on the corner of Parran Hall includes space for research labs, 215-seat auditorium, centralized freezer storage, and kitchenettes on each floor for staff and faculty.
Mosites Construction Company was selected as the general trades contractor for this project based on our reputation for controlling phased city construction and their capability to control a renovation project that allows for continuous use of the building during construction.
