Digital Foundry at New Kensington
15,044 SF state-of-the-art digital innovation and manufacturing maker space utilizing cutting-edge technologies to develop skills and businesses.
The project is a partnership between Penn State University New Kensington, Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland County, and the Richard King Mellon Foundation. The addition to the New Kensington community will enhance economic rehabilitation, workforce development, and digital infrastructure. The maker space will provide a foundation for training and access to modern software by integrating digital data and equipment into new product development, manufacturing, operations, and business management. The Digital Foundry will be accessible by K-12 school districts, college students and faculty, and entrepreneurs wanting to develop professional skills.
