The project consisted of a new 58,500 SF tower on a tight urban block in the middle of campus.  The Laboratory Pavilion addition is a hub for laboratory research and includes a 215-seat auditorium, centralized freezer storage, kitchenettes, and student/staff break spaces.  The new addition will provide open, modernized community and research spaces, centralized classrooms, and administrative office space.  Work also included architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades to meet the current building code and accommodate and support advanced research activities and faculty.

Mosites was selected as the general trades contractor for the project based on our reputation for controlling phased city construction and the capability to manage a renovation project that allows for continuous use of the building during construction.  The new addition is certified LEED Silver.
