Mosites Construction
Company was selected to construct the Corliss Flyover project to
complete the West Busway from Pittsburgh to Carnegie.
Major
components of the project included:

- 464 feet, 3-Spans, Over Corliss Tunnel and Norfolk Railroad

Concrete Cantilever Retaining Walls
- Soldier
Pile Wall
- Precast
Modular Wall
- Tree
wells along Carson Street
This
project was wedged in a small parcel of land that connected the
West Busway with Carson Street. The bridge has both vertical and
horizontal curves and provides a breathtaking view of Pittsburgh
as you descend to Carson Street while "flying over" the Corliss
Tunnel and Norfolk and Southern Railway.
