Mosites has a long-standing relationship with the Diocese of Pittsburgh and the St. Kilian Parish. In 2008, Mosites provided Construction Manager-at-Risk services for the 76,000 SF parish school. Situated on 33 acres of land, the building boasts a beautiful main entrance that leads to the preschool and K-5 facility, parish offices, library, and computer room. The second wing of the facility houses the cafeteria, kitchen, and multi-purpose gymnasium. The gymnasium is transformed to provide worship space for up to 1,000 parishioners on weekends. Work included site excavation and fill, deep foundations, grade beams, spread footings, structural steel frame, slab-on-grade, slab-on-deck, masonry veneer standing seam metal roof, precast, aluminum windows, and storefront, elevator, and mechanical and electrical system upgrades. In 2015, Mosites provided Construction Manager-at-Risk services for the new 35,500 SF ground-up church consisting of a sanctuary, chapel, and meeting/overflow areas. The exterior shell of the church consisted of masonry, stone & limestone sills, and arched top windows with a gabled asphalt roof. Mosites joined the team early in the preconstruction process on both projects to assist with cost estimates, scheduling, logistical planning, subcontractor bidding, and procurement. In addition, Mosites continues to be a valuable partner for the Diocese of Pittsburgh, working on various projects in their congregation and providing resources for their potential projects.
