Significant restoration of aged manufacturing buildings into a 125-unit apartment complex with indoor parking
Indovina Associates Architects and Crow Hill Development wanted a partner to help plan and budget the conversion of three old Heinz manufacturing buildings into a 125-unit apartment complex, they hired Mosites Construction Company. The three buildings involved were built over a period of 50 years by Heinz family members. The Administration Building was constructed in 1907, the Annex Building was constructed in 1937 and the Research Building was constructed in 1958. The first floor of each building is to be converted into indoor parking and the remaining six floors turned into apartments creating a real mixture of livable spaces, ranging from large open lofts to classic, modern space with floor-to-ceiling glass windows facing the skyline.
