Program:

Design/build 300,000 sq. ft. warehouse and 3,000 sq. ft. office.

Materials of Note:

Pre-engineered steel building system with 8 ft. high masonry wainscot and standing seam metal roof.

Mosites Construction built this large warehouse and office facility-seven acres under roof-in eight months on a fast-track construction schedule.

Because the facility was being constructed on the location of an old coal mine, the construction timetable had to include extensive cut and fill operations and mine grouting.

Construction time was minimized by sequencing the concrete floor pours close behind structural steel erection.

The floor system, approximately 300,000 sq. ft. of concrete, was finished within one month of the building superstructure completion.

The mechanical systems employ the numerous dock door openings to facilitate required air changes in the structure. The system produces an operating cost savings of 1/3 to 1/5 of traditional HVAC systems.
