Mosites Construction
Company's presence at the Pittsburgh International Airport was impressive.
The work by Mosites included:
- 3,300
car short-term parking structure
- 7
miles of perimeter access roads and ramps
- 14
bridges
- substation
for electric power
- 1,340
foot moving walkway enclosure
- parking
management office building
- parking
control islands and stations
- Avis
headquarters
- 120
acres of landscaping
- steam
gardens
- nine
restaurants and specialty shops
All
this was completed in just 2 1/2 years for the opening of the new
Airport on October 1, 1992.
Since
the completion of this project, Mosites has continued to work with
major clients at the Airport. For example, Mosites constructed the
automated deicing system for USAir, expanded the escalator system
to and from Airside for the County of Allegheny and expanded the
long-term parking lots for Grant-Oliver Corporation.
These
ongoing relationships are a result of the quality of the work, which
was safely done on time, by the experienced managers and skilled
craftspeople of Mosites Construction Company.
